Pope Francis says that world governments need to make sure that they make health care accessible to everyone in their countries. This request came during his annualWorld Day of the Sick speech on Friday.

The Pope criticized the lack of medical care available to people in poverty, and he urged world leaders not to neglect the problem. He also asked governments to not allow financial concerns to push health problems aside, and he called for attacks against medical professionals serving in regions of war to end. He said that such attacks do not serve the interests of anyone.
