Restaurant Hires Robot Server
로봇 종업원을 고용한 레스토랑
“Okay.”
There's a new server in town.
“Have a good day. I’m going back.”
With recent pandemic 1induced 2labor shortages, some places are short on hands and turning to wheels.
“We were just met with some 3challenges with 4staffing, and some business levels that Deadwood hasn't been used to. So, we, we 5thought outside the box.” - “I’m leaving for delivery.” - “Decided we were going to try out this robot to run food for us.”
It will take food and drink directly to tables, the bar, or wherever else it's programmed to. It'll even help clean up.
“So, it works like a bus person as well.”
While hard at work, it's even got some manners.
“Sorry, I’m blocked. Please let me pass.”
“It's 6vocal. It'll talk to you. It'll ask you to 7get out of its way.” - “Hello, could you please make a way?” - “I'm busy here. I'm trying to work. I'm gonna get fired. So, it has a 8personality. It's a lot of fun. It's very 9upbeat. It plays music as it's coming by so everyone knows it's coming.”
Working 10pedal to the metal, it begs the question... is this robot being rightfully 11compensated?
“Enjoy your meal.”
“Ah! It is, it is not. But, it, it is worthy of making a way.”
