And so Team USA went looking for a winning goal. They almost went ahead moments later with a goal by Alex Morgan, 7ruled out for offside.

So many 12superlatives to describe this Team USA side, so many records that they have 13under their belts already, and some 14extraordinary 15stats that follow them around. They're going for their third championship, their third World Cup victory 16in a row. Nobody else has done that before. 

When they went one nil down in the 17first half, it was the first time they'd trailed in a World Cup game since 2011 and equaling it up at one one. That means that they haven't lost a game at the World Cup in 19 matches. They've never lost a group stage game before. What an extraordinary team.

Next game for them is against Portugal. They'll see who they play in the next round after that, perhaps Argentina or Sweden.
