"2New Year's resolutions, right? It's a big thing for all of us."
Stephanie Dahlquist from the YMCA and the rest of her staff is 3gearing up for the New Year's gym rush. Going to the gym is a popular New Year's resolution.
"So, we all want to do something. We would know we really need to 4work out, we know that 5wellness and fitness is a big part of our health as well. But how do we do that? So, it's those little steps and finding something you enjoy."
"Our New Year's resolutions are great. I feel like it's almost like a restart for people."
Carly Vehrs is one of the personal trainers at the Y and says that setting realistic fitness goals is the 6key.
"The goal, if it is 7attainable, it's realistic, it's 8measurable, it's going to keep you motivated. 9Intrinsic 10motivation is really hard for a lot of people. That's the motivation inside of you. So having a good goal is going to keep that fire going throughout the year."
If you're 11concerned about the crowds or have any questions, Vehrs says staff members are always there to help.
"This is my favorite thing to do in the whole world, is to help people and to 12set goals and to make sure that you're comfortable in this fitness center. And I know my coworkers as well. They love to do it. So as a trainer, setting the goals and being able to see people 13accomplish them and 14stick to them is probably the biggest 15fulfillment that we could see."
In Rhinelander,
"We want to see them in January, and we want to see them throughout the full year."
