In Phoenix, Arizona, 4residents have 5endured 18 6consecutive days at 110 degrees or higher. The record for the longest 7streak is expected to be broken today, and the high temperatures will continue.
In Buckeye, the heat is being 8blamed for the death of a man who was walking to a fire station after his bike got a 9flat tire over the weekend.

Dangerously high temperatures being recorded across the region. El Paso, Texas, reached 100 degrees for the 32nd 10straight day. With the 11National Weather Service tweeting, there's quote ¡°12No end in sight.¡±
The state's 13electrical grid is 14feeling the strain from the record 15demand, but 16holding up thanks to additional resources.
¡°We're seeing energy storage and 17solar power really playing a much more 18dramatic role than they were playing even just a couple of short years ago.¡±
Now, keeping cool and staying out of the 19scorching sun should be the 20priority.
