Over the years, multiple studies have looked at the 2benefits of 3houseplants: bringing a little bit of 4nature inside may give a big boost to your 5mental health.

Dr. Matthew Flanigan with Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center says plants may also be good for your body.
"With decreased stress hormones, your 11vasoconstrictors, they come slowly undone and it really can actually like 12lower 13blood pressure and, and make you feel and physically be more healthy."
In the past decade, multiple houseplants have been lauded as 14air cleaners including several varieties of palms, rubber plants, dracaena, English ivy, ficus, Boston ferns, and peace lilies.
