Instagram Model Facing Murder Charges

26-year old social media 1personality and 2influencer Courtney Clenney 3is beind bars in Hawaii, charged with second degree murder. Police say she 4stabbed her boyfriend Christian Obumseli on April 3rd inside their luxury apartment in Miami.

¡°Evidence gathered during the 5investigation of Christian¡¯s death showed that since November of 2020, he and the 6defendant Clenney had been involved in an extremely 7tempestuous and 8combative relationship.¡±

Police release this 9disturbing video from February -- months before Obumseli¡¯s death -- showing Clenney and her boyfriend appearing to fight in an elevator. Clenney¡¯s 10defense attorney says this video does not show what 11prompted the fight. While he says the pair had a 12tumultuous relationship, the defense attorney is 13confident Clenney will ¡°14be exonerated.¡± And Courtney will be seen for what she is: a victim of 15domestic abuse that survived her abuser.

Miami Police 16dispute that claim.

¡°So yes, there, there¡¯s no physical evidence that led us to believe that she was actually physically harmed in any way, the day of the incident.¡±

Thursday, the Miami State Attorney showed a timeline of Clenney¡¯s telephone calls, from a call she made to Obumseli that afternoon, until she called 911.

¡°On that 911 call, Christian can be heard in the background repeatedly saying that he was dying and he was losing feeling in his arm.¡±

Clenney is being held at the East Hawaii Detention Center.
